Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Boston, MA

We believe in the transforming power of the witness, passion and leadership of young people both within their churches and in the larger community, and we hope to build that power through formation, fellowship and resource sharing.

We are committed to nourishing the visible leadership of young adults and looking for innovative ways to integrate young people and young adult ministry into all areas of our communal life, at both the local and diocesan level.

Discernment and vocation

Learning to walk with god

Discerning your vocation, your calling in ministry, is an essential spiritual practice for all Christians.

Too often this practice is reserved for those considering ordained ministry, but let’s face it—the vast majority of ministers of the Gospel are not clergy.

Lent 2022

Online Lenten community for young adults is again being offered beginning Ash Wednesday, March 2.  40Form|Lent: A Digital Approach to Purpose-Finding is a 47-day discernment program.  Grounded in lived experience, 40Form guides reflection to unlock insights about individual purpose.

Those who register will receive daily e-mails with suggested journal activities to help them reflect on the stories they tell themselves, the influences in their lives, their strengths and weaknesses, the opportunities and threats that enable their purpose, and how they approach decision-making.

Young adults looking for greater connection with peers can also choose to join a weekly online discussion group to share with others their reflections, questions, ponderings and prayers.

Access to this program is being offered free, supported by the diocesan Young Adult Advisory Committee.  For more information or to sign up, an online form is available here.
