The bishops and leaders of the diocese’s Episcopal Service Corps program Life Together announced in July 2023 that the program will take a sabbath for the 2024-2025 program year “as we discern faithful next steps for a ministry that has formed more than 200 young adults in the past 24 years.” They cited a “changing landscape for young adult service programs” and the need to reimagine Life Together’s program model “to meet the needs of a new generation of young adults.” A Discernment Team will lead this work.
Episcopal Service Corps is recruiting for 2024-2025: Though Life Together in the Diocese of Massachusetts is taking a sabbath for the 2024-2025 program year, interested young adults are encouraged to explore one of the seven other ESC programs recruiting fellows for the upcoming year. From South Hadley, Mass., to Cody, Wyo., Philadelphia to Los Angeles—programs across the country offer opportunities to grow in one’s faith, meaningfully serve the community and live together in intentional community. All programs offer cost-of-living stipends, rent, utilities and health coverage, among other benefits. To learn more, visit episcopalservicecorps.org
