Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are saddened to inform you of the death of the Rev. Alan Homer McCue in Danvers, Massachusetts, on Nov. 10, 2024.
Homer served as rector of St. Peter’s Church in Beverly from 1966 until 1992. He then served as interim priest at
St. Mary’s Church in Rockport from 1992 until 1994, at Christ Church in South Hamilton from 1994 until 1997, and at St. Christopher’s Church in Chatham from 2002 until 2003. Homer also served the diocese on the Commission on Wider Mission from 1992 until 2005, the Jubilee Fund of the Diocese of Massachusetts from 2000 until 2008, and as co-chair of the Massachusetts Scholarships for Africans Studying in America from 2001 until 2011. He also served the wider church as representative to Global Episcopal Mission from 1998 until 1999.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, Nov. 22 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Massachusetts. His funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Church of Hamilton &
Wenham, 149 Asbury Street, South Hamilton, Massachusetts.
May the soul of God’s faithful servant departed rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon him.
