St. Michael's Church in Marblehead invites all to join for its 2024-2025 organ recital series, marking the 50th anniversary of the installation of the church's Fisk organ.
For this special occasion, St. Michael's is welcoming a select group of talented artists to celebrate the many ways in which the organ contributes to the life of the church's community.
Before sound recording could be joined with film, artists of the cinema relied in great part upon organists to bring their work to life. On Sunday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m., St. Michael’s will transform into a movie theatre as world-renowned silent film accompanist Peter Krasinski improvises the music for a screening of the 1928 comedy, The Cameraman, starring Buster Keaton.
All events take place in the sanctuary. Suggested donation is $20 per person at the door. Season subscriptions are also available. Visit www.stmichaels1714.org/concert-series for the full schedule and more details.
