Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are saddened to inform you of the death of the Rev. Evan Tom Barrington Jr. in North Chelmsford, Massachusetts, on July 30, 2024.
Tom served as rector of All Saints’ Church in Chelmsford from 1999 until 2012, then as assistant priest at St.
Anne’s Church in Lowell in 2012. He was bridge priest at Bristol Trinity Church in North Easton from 2016 until 2017, and interim priest at St. Stephen’s Memorial Church in Lynn from 2017 until 2020. His other service in the diocese included leadership with the Diocesan Youth Council from 2013 until 2019, and as dean of the
Merrimack Valley Deanery from 2001 until 2009.
Tom also served as direct care supervisor at Lowell Transitional Living Center from 2012 until 2016.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Aug. 15, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen Street, in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church in Lowell, Massachusetts. Clergy are invited to vest and process (white stoles).
A reception will follow in Edson Hall.
