Jocelyn Collen has been hired to serve on the diocesan staff as the administrator for congregations and development, effective Feb. 20.

In her new role, she will support the work of the regional canons and the canon for immigration and multicultural ministries. She will also assist in the diocesan development office with data entry and gifts processing.
Since 2020, Collen has been the associate director of Life Together, the Episcopal Service Corps program in the Diocese of Massachusetts. Her responsibilities there included recruitment and orientation of the program's young adult fellows, training development, group facilitation and hospitality, bookkeeping and oversight of a residential property.
Prior to joining Life Together, she worked as a team instructor for the Franciscan Spiritual Direction Program in Boston, and as a religious educator and pastoral care provider at Franciscan Children's and its Kennedy Day School. Her past experience also includes serving as a faith formation assistant at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in Chestnut Hill and as the resource and development director for the Sisters of St. Joseph Prison Ministry in Framingham. She continues as a prison ministry volunteer at the Suffolk County House of Correction.
Collen holds a Master of Divinity degree from the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairfield University in Connecticut, where she majored in religious studies, with a minor in management.
She is a postulant for ordination in the Diocese of Massachusetts, and serves on the vestry at St. Paul's Church in Brookline where she is also the chair of the parish's Racial Justice Ministry.
