Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are saddened to inform you of the death of the Reverend Sister Catherine Louise, SSM in Hingham, Mass., on Jan. 24, 2019, on the eve of her 72nd anniversary of her profession. She was 102.
On Nov. 1, 1978, Sister Catherine Louise was ordained to the diaconate at St. Margaret’s Convent. On Dec. 21, 1979, she was ordained to the priesthood at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Boston, the first sister of the Society of St. Margaret to become a priest.
A Eucharist of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 2 p.m. in St. Margaret’s Chapel, 30 Harden Hill Road, Duxbury. Tea in the convent will follow. All are welcome.
May the soul of God’s faithful servant departed rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon her.
