Rick Strout, who has served as the chief business officer and assistant treasurer of the diocese since January 2011, has announced that he will be leaving the staff to take a new job as audit manager at CBIZ Tofias in Boston, starting Dec. 2.
"I’m extremely thankful for the opportunity afforded to me by the diocesan leadership team to serve this prestigious organization over the past three years as chief business officer. In that time, I have watched this organization make significant tangible differences in people's lives every single day with the financial support entrusted to it," Strout said. "I’ve enjoyed a great relationship with a countless number of people along the way. My hope is that the relationship continues. It’s important to me to stay connected with such a great place."
"Rick came to us at a time of transition in our Treasurer's Office when consistency, organization and vision were needed. Rick has given all three, and we are eternally grateful for his time and talent," the Rev. Canon Mally Lloyd, Canon to the Ordinary, said. "I will personally miss him as a colleague and wish him well in his future endeavors. He has offered to stay involved with the diocese in some volunteer capacity to be determined, so this may not be the last we see of him."
Lloyd said that a job description is being prepared for posting as soon as possible.
