Two new members joined the diocesan and cathedral staffs over the summer.
The Rev. Canon Connie Ng Lam has been named the new canon for Asiamerican ministries and will serve as priest to the Episcopal Boston Chinese Ministry at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul.
Ellen Stuart has been hired as communications assistant on the diocesan staff.

the Diocese of Massachusetts, returned to Hong Kong at the end of April to direct that province's Religious Education Resource Center and to serve as priest-in-charge of two mission churches, Holy Cross Church and St. Paul's Church, in Macau.
Lam previously served in the Diocese of California as associate priest at two churches in San Francisco: the True Sunshine Church, a Chinese congregation, and Christ Church Sei Ko Kai, a Japanese congregation. She was born in Guangdong, China, and grew up in Hong Hong when it was a British colony. She was baptized and confirmed in the Anglican Church of Hong Kong, and subsequently immigrated to California. She was ordained to the priesthood in 2007 at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. She served on the Diocese of California's Commission on Ministry and chaired that diocese's Asian Commission.
"I am honored and proud to be serving with you all in God's kingdom," she said of her relocation to Massachusetts. "Since I started this new ministry in Boston on June 1, I have been experiencing the warm welcoming of the Chinese congregation and the friendly greetings from the staffs in the diocesan building. Thank you for having me here!"

Ellen Stuart joined the diocesan staff on Aug. 12 as communications assistant, a new position that expands the capacity of the diocesan Office of Communications. She brings an array of online media skills, having worked previously at a Web design and marketing firm, and gained journalism experience prior to that working as a staff writer covering arts and entertainment for a free weekly paper.
"I'm so happy to be joining the diocese," she said. "There is such an incredible energy and warmth in this staff, and I feel really fortunate to be a part of that. I'm honored and excited to have the opportunity to share the important news and amazing stories happening in the diocese."
