The Episcopal Church's House of Bishops concluded its March 25-30 retreat meeting at the Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville, N.C., addressing several themes, including the relationship between Christianity and Islam, how to reach out to young adults and the Anglican Covenant, a set of principles intended to bind the Anglican Communion in spite of cultural and theological differences.

The Diocese of Massachusetts was well represented: Bishop M. Thomas Shaw, SSJE was among those making presentations during the house's discussion on Christianity and Islam (see the March 28 daily report here); the Rev. Arrington Chambliss and Jason Long of the diocese's Life Together young adult intern program helped lead a discussion about ministry with and to young adults (see the March 26 daily report here); and the Rev. Stephanie Spellers of The Crossing, the emergent worship congregation at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Boston, served as chaplain.
