Easter 2023
The refugee fleeing war-torn lands. The parent numbed by schoolchild massacre. The COVID-weary in every home and workplace.
The friendship which has healed a loss. The treatment which has healed a wound. The miracle of the emergent daffodil.
Amidst our losses, large and small, come our renewals, large and small. Beyond crucifixion is the promise of resurrection. To claim that promise is our hope, and to act as agents of that abundant life is our calling.
“The powers of death have done their worst, but Christ their legions hath dispersed: let shout of holy joy outburst. Alleluia!”
We greet you in the love of our Risen Lord, and we extend to you every blessing for the Easter Feast. May Christ’s promise of resurrection bring you hope amidst your own sorrows, and strength to greet the rising sun!
Faithfully and fondly,
The Rt. Rev. Alan M. Gates
The Rt. Rev. Carol J.W.T. Gallagher
