Diocese of Massachusetts Episcopalians were a strong presence again this year at the annual Mother's Day Walk for Peace in Boston, with at least 200 people walking with Bishop Alan M. Gates and members of the B-PEACE for Jorge Campaign--including large contingents from Trinity Church in Boston, St. Paul's Church in Brookline, St. Paul's Church in Natick and St. Stephen's Church in Boston.
Other parishes represented at the walk included Trinity Church in Concord; St. Peter's Church in Beverly; the Church of the Holy Spirit in Mattapan; the Church of Our Saviour in Milton; Christ Church in Waltham; and St. James's Church in Cambridge.
This is the sixth year of diocesan participation in the walk as a witness against gun violence. The annual event is a fundraiser for the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute.
