The Office of the Bishop has issued the following pastoral announcement:

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are saddened to inform you of the death of the Rev. Deacon Gloria Wong in Tisbury, Massachusetts, on Jan. 24, 2024.
Gloria served as deacon at Grace Church in Vineyard Haven from 1999 until 2023, and at Trinity Church in Oak
Bluffs during the summer seasons. Gloria also served as chair of the Steering Committee of the Boston Chinese Ministry from 1985 until 1993, and on the Commission on Ministry from 1996 until 1999.
A funeral service is planned for July 14 at 2:00 p.m. at The Tabernacle, 80 Trinity Park, Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard. Clergy are invited to vest; white stoles.
May the soul of God’s faithful servant departed rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon her.
