The Office of the Bishop has issued the following pastoral announcement:

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are saddened to inform you of the death of the Rev. Bruce Edward Nickerson in Bedford, Massachusetts, on April 10, 2023.
Bruce served as deacon at Christ Church, Somerville from 1991 until 2002, at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Cambridge from 2000 until 2009, at St. Elizabeth’s Church Wilmington from 2009 until 2012, and at St. Peter’s Church in Cambridge from 2012 until 2015. He also conducted a long-term prison ministry at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Concord.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 6, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church in Bedford, Massachusetts. As space is limited, clergy are welcome but are asked not to vest.
May the soul of God’s faithful servant departed rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon him.
