Regional Canon Announcement
I am excited to share that I have appointed the Rev’d Canon Anna Carmichael, PhD to serve as our next Regional Canon for the Northern and Western regions. Since 2016, Canon Anna has served as Canon to the Ordinary and Transitions Officer for the Diocese of San Joaquin. She was previously rector of St. Mark’s in Hood River, Oregon. She brings tremendous experience in supporting congregational growth and vitality and is also a recognized leader in the broader church, currently serving on the board of the College of Bishops. Canon Anna asked that I share this message with you as she prepares to join our diocesan community:
I believe that every encounter that we have and conversation with another is an opportunity to reflect God's Love and Mercy to the world. In my conversations with Bishop Julia and the amazing diocesan staff, I have experienced that Love and Mercy first hand, and I am excited to extend it to others in the diocese as a Regional Canon. I am also looking forward to being a part of the Red Sox Nation and helping my dad convert from being a Yankees fan!
Please join me in welcoming Canon Anna to our Diocese!
