As followers of Christ, we recognize the great need for meaningful welcome and inclusion for those with disabilities and neurodivergence in our churches. But how should the church build communities of dignity, compassion and welcome for all? This workshop will introduce the ministry of Rhythms of Grace, a curriculum for worship and faith formation for children and families with autism and other special needs. It will discuss the unique gifts and challenges that people with autism bring to our communities, explore theological ideas around disability and offer some practical ways that parishes can share the knowledge and love of God with neuro-diverse people. This workshop is open to all, including clergy, lay leaders, congregants, those in other faith homes and those in our greater communities. Registration is requested.
