With a monthly food pantry on Tuesdays, meals prepared for delivery to families weekly, a free meal for the public every Thursday night and an open door policy for homeless men and women throughout the winter months, the Church of the Good Shepherd is known for its efforts to help the community. The church is looking to do more. Parishioners have been asking Wareham residents for input on the town’s strengths and weaknesses, which the parish wants to put to use in an action plan to address the most commonly voiced issues. “Faith is not just about the walls of the church, it is about strengthening the community...this is why we are doing the surveys. We want to know what people see as the issues in Wareham and then we want to address them,” the Rev. Dan Bernier said.
