Grace Episcopal Church last weekend held a commissioning service for its former rector, the Rev. Maryalice Sullivan and her husband John.
The Rt. Rev. Bishop Alan Gates, the bishop of the Massachusetts diocese, joined with the new church leader, the Rev. Phillip Kutta, to bless the couple, who are traveling to Tanzania for a mission trip.
The pair will live in Tanzania for six months, working in the Diocese of Tanga at the invitation of Bishop Maimbo of Tanga.
