Liza Zayas has been hired as executive assistant to Bishop Gayle E. Harris and joined the diocesan staff on Sept. 6. She succeeds Marsha Searle, who has retired after serving on the diocesan staff for four years.
"I am grateful for having the privilege to work with Marsha, as many in our diocese have said since her retirement announcement, and am more than happy to have Liza to join the staff," Harris said. "Liza’s career in the corporate world will bring a new skill set to our ministry, and her desire to serve the needs of others will enrich us."
Zayas is a graduate of the Burdett College legal secretarial program and has worked for 21 years as a legal secretary and legal administrative assistant for numerous law firms in Boston and one in Lawrence.
“I am honored to be assisting Bishop Harris and the Episcopal Church and look forward to serving the needs of the diocese wholeheartedly!” Zayas said.
She can be reached at the diocesan offices at 617-482-4826, ext. 445 or lzayas@diomass.org.
