Eucharistic Visitor Training

Eucharistic visitors are lay people who have been trained to give the Holy Eucharist to shut-ins and other people who are unable to attend Eucharist services. Eucharistic visitors must be licensed by the diocese.

There are two types of Eucharistic visitor training:

  • Training of lay people to become Eucharistic visitors. These sessions are led by a clergy person and an experienced Eucharistic visitor.
  • Training of clergy and/or Eucharistic visitors to train new Eucharistic visitors ("training the trainers")

For more information about the requirements for licensing as a Eucharistic Visitor, consult your clergy.
