Greetings!
This month's news is
largely about connections: Boston mayor Tom Menino
connecting with youth from the B-SAFE summer
anti-violence program; Bishop Bud Cederholm and
missioners to the Gulf Coast witnessing the needs and
hopes of people whose lives were unraveled by
Hurricane Katrina; and Bishop Gayle Harris in
consultation in Spain with Anglican bishops from Africa.
Read on and be
inspired.

20 other missioners from the Diocese of Massachusetts
made a pilgrimage to witness the lingering aftereffects
of the storm. Upon his return, Bishop Cederholm

Calling all artists:
"Feasts for the Eyes" The Episcopal Church and Visual Arts has
made a call for entries for "Feasts for the Eyes," an
online exhibition scheduled for November 2007-February
2008. "In the Episcopal Church the feasts observed
allow for the remembrance of major events in the life of
Christ, events that partner the history of each
spiritual life," says ECVA's call for entries.
"How might art enrich the meaning of our liturgies of
our feasts and/or challenge our traditional
expectations?" In answer, ECVA is accepting
submissions through Sept. 14 of work executed by artists
within the Episcopal community. Submission details
