Our diocese aired locally a 30-second TV ad April 10-
16 targeted to Gen Xers. Produced for national
broadcast by the Episcopal Church, the ad,
titled “Complicated Times,” features York Harbor,
Maine, priest Paige Blair, formerly of this diocese,
inviting viewers to join in a spiritual journey toward
understanding, reconciliation and forgiveness. The
ad ran locally on Channel 4 (CBS4) and on Lifetime,
the Family Channel, TNT and Nick at Night on cable.
If you missed it on TV, you can view it online at:

The Episcopal Church began broadcasting the ad
nationally through Time Warner Cable on April 30.

It’s time for all kids (and kids at heart) to sign up for
summer camp at the diocese’s Barbara C. Harris

in grades 3 through 10. Or, the whole family can join
Bishop Bud Cederholm for Family Camp, Aug. 13-18.
There are also adventure travel camps for high
schoolers, and specialized programs focusing on
soccer, art, music and choir.
Ask at your church for the 2006 summer camp
registration booklet, or contact the camp directly at

The diocesan Hurricane Katrina Relief effort
continues. In March Bishop Bud Cederholm traveled
with a group of volunteers to Biloxi, Miss., where
they extended helping hands and encouragement. In
April diocesan youth missioner Robert Bacon led a
youth team to Biloxi comprising 40 people from 18
parishes. They did substantial clean-up and repair
work on six homes and enjoyed fellowship with the
youth group of the Church of the Redeemer in Mobile,
Ala., who traveled over to serve the volunteers
dinner. The diocesan Katrina Relief Task Force has
compiled a list of ways to contribute. How might you
and your congregation be called to join in this
mission?
