Chatham author Anne LeClaire will lead a quiet-day workshop on “Spiritual Silence to Our Secular Life: Making the Connection” on Saturday, May 3, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Christopher’s Church in Chatham. The workshop will
include thoughts on the need for silence in our daily lives, ways to
find silence, and different types of silence. Ms. LeClaire will also
lead the group through exercises on silence.
Discussion will follow the workshop during a brown bag luncheon, followed by Holy Eucharist. Light refreshments will be served.
LeClaire has written several bestselling novels, including Leaving Eden, Entering Normal and The Lavender Hour, and has just written The Silent Sabbatical: A Meditation of Listening Below the Noise. The author has practiced days of silence twice a month for the past 15 years and has devoted a section of her web site to exploring silence: www.anneleclaire.com/exploring-silence.htm.
The workshop is free and open to the public. Please sign up in advance due to limited seating: 508-945-2832.
