All are welcome to Rise Up: A Soulful Easter Vigil, on Saturday, April 7, 7-9 p.m., at the Cathedral
Church of St. Paul (138 Tremont Street) in Boston. The Vigil is one of the church's most ancient and beloved liturgies. The Soulful Vigil begins with the ancient stories of creation and redemption--retold by local storytellers and poets, set to spirituals and the blues. Then, it bursts into a soulful, music-rich celebration and sharing of the first Eucharist of Easter.
With music and worship leadership by The Crossing community, and Bishop M. Thomas Shaw, SSJE presiding, with Baptism, Confirmations and Receptions. Any congregation with candidates may contact Ethel Crawford (617-482-4826, ext. 221 or elc [at] diomass [dot] org).
Questions about the service may be directed to the Rev. Stephanie Spellers at 617-482-4826, ext. 318 or revsteph [at] thecrossingboston [dot] org.
