On September 26 and 27, EDS will host the first New England Beijing Circle Conference, sponsored by the Episcopal Church.

The Beijing Circles is a movement started by a small group of Episcopal women in response to progress reports on the Beijing Platform for Action. This document, adopted at the Fourth World Conference on Women, details twelve critical areas of concern regarding the global status of women. Beijing Circles are now being formed across the U.S. by women who want to learn how women around the world can work together to address issues of poverty, education, health and gender equality faced by their global sisters.
