Mortenson will speak at the Marblehead Veterans Middle School on Sunday, February 24 at 7 p.m. He will sign copies of his book, which will be available for sale, after the lecture.

The orchestra and chorus of Emmanuel Music, led by Michael Beattie, associate conductor, perform the St. John Passion on Saturday, March 8 at 8 p.m. at Emmanuel Church in Boston.

The concert will be preceded at 7 p.m. by a discussion of the piece with John Harbison, acting artistic director of Emmanuel Music, Rabbi David Kudan and Charles Blandy.
