Our deaneries and what they mean
The congregations in our diocese are grouped into 12 deaneries whose boundaries are drawn according to natural watersheds. Every parcel of earth belongs to a watershed, and our deaneries remind us of our connections with God’s creation. Our deaneries also are sacramentally symbolic: Water is the outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace through Baptism, the sacrament by which God makes us members of Christ’s body, the church. In addition to locating our churches on the deanery maps above, you can find our churches listed by deanery groups here.
